The 2nd Meeting of the 12th State Assembly First Session will be starting on 24.06.2008 with the official opening and Royal Address by DYMM Sultan of Perak. This is the first sitting after 308 Political Tsunami apart from the Swearing In Ceremony held in April 2008.
Conventionally, the State Opposition Leader Dato Seri Tajol Rosli will be given the priority to speak and debate.
There is only a slim majority of 30-28 on the floor and the PAKATAN is expecting tough debates with the BN’s (mainly UMNO’s) old timer.
The House will also be moved for the insertion and recognition of the Opposition Leader’s Post and also a motion on the release of Hindraf 7 ISA.
I am now preparing the speech and hopefully could grab the chance to speak after Tajol Rosli’s speech.
